Tuesdays and Some Saturdays: 7 pm - 10pm Singing by Jim Garcia, Poetry by Leonard Cirino and other poets Event: Corridos are songs of the Mexican revolution and ballads of the people. Jim has been performing at various community, church and school events for the past 10 years. Jim sings traditional Mexican music such as Rancheras and Boleros, as well as bilingual, Spanish and original pop songs. Jim Garcia is Chicano/Latino Student Program Coordinator for the Multi-Cultural Center, Lane Community College. Leonard Cirino will be reading fhis own poetry inspired by Chinese poets. Jerry Ross will discuss "American Verismo" and painting critiques will happen between performances. Artists are encouraged to bring works in for discussion.
